Texas on the Potomac

Ted Poe is getting more furious with the Obama administration over Fast and Furious.

Time definitely hasnít mellowed the Republican congressman from Humble, who calls U.S. Attorney General Eric Holderís response to the botched gun sting operation ìnonsense.î

In an interview with TexasGOPVote, Poe, a member of the House Judiciary Committee, said he has only gotten angrier at Holder and the administration in the weeks following his panelís hearing on Fast and Furious.

ìThe more I learn from the Attorney General, the more I am concerned about this operation,î he said.

Poe said it is ìpreposterousî that Holder still canít identify the person who made the decision to authorize Fast and Furious, the gun-tracking operation that the congressman says has resulted in the deaths of 200 Mexican nationals and at least two Americans.

ìThis is very serious and the Mexican government should be rightfully concerned. Americans should be rightfully concerned,î Poe said.

Poe repeated his demand for Holderís resignation, but he brushed off conservative calls for Holderís impeachment.

ìImpeachment sounds great; it will never work,î he said. ìRealistically, the Senate would never convict and remove Eric Holder from office.î

Poe said he will continue to search for the ìrogue operativesî behind Fast and Furious.

ìThis is not going away,î he said, ìeven though the mainstream media doesnít want to talk about this issue.î
