WASHINGTON, D.C. ñ Today, Congressman Ted Poe (TX-02) voted for the Northern Route Approval Act (H.R. 3), which would allow for the immediate construction, operation, and maintenance of the Keystone XL Pipeline.
ìApproval of the Keystone XL Pipeline is long overdue. Its approval is a matter of national, economic and energy security. This decision is a no brainer. Letís bring energy from a stable ally to the U.S., make Middle Eastern turmoil irrelevant and create thousands of jobs in the process -- at no cost to American taxpayers. Itís time to say ëyesí to our national interest, jobs, and energy security.î said Poe.
In January, Congressman Poe introduced similar legislation, H.R. 334, the Keystone for a Secure Tomorrow Act.
