WASHINGTON, D.C.—Today, Congressman Ted Poe (R-TX), Chairman of the House Subcommittee on Terrorism, along with Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) sent a bipartisan letter to Secretary of State John Kerry opposing the financing of F-16s to Pakistan with U.S. taxpayer dollars.

“Pakistan has not shown that it is a reliable partner to the United States and has actively undermined our national interests in the region. Until Pakistan is able to demonstrate meaningful changes in its actions, it is inappropriate to finance the sale with U.S. taxpayer funding,” said Reps. Poe and Gabbard.
