POE: HONOR AMERICA’S FALLEN PEACE OFFICERS

WASHINGTON, D.C.-Today Congressman Ted Poe (TX-02) issued the following statement in honor of National Peace Officers Memorial Day.

“Peace officers dedicate their lives to protecting the rest of us from the anarchy of the lawless,” said Poe. “Some of them put on the uniform and the badge and never come home. This week, during National Police Week and Peace Officers Memorial Day, we have the opportunity to honor the law enforcement officers who have given their lives and the families they have left behind. Peace officers are the last strand of wire in the fence between good and evil.  They are what separate us from the anarchy of the lawless.  They are real life heroes in our midst. We should reflect on the sacrifice of fallen peace officers, not only today, but every day.”
